Community guidelines

Myra works when people treat each other with respect. These guidelines apply to profiles, chats, events and anything you do through Myra. Breaking them can lead to a warning, a hidden profile or a permanent ban.

Last updated October 4, 2026

Be yourself

Use your real first name and recent photos that clearly show you. One person, one account. Do not use someone else's photos or pretend to be someone else.

Be honest about what you want

Choose the intent that reflects what you are actually looking for, and update it if it changes. Do not use Myra while in a relationship that you are hiding from your partner.

Be respectful

No harassment, threats, insults, hate speech or pressure. Comments on someone's caste, religion, skin colour, body, disability or sexuality are not acceptable. A no, a pass or a closed conversation is an answer, not an invitation to try again.

Keep it appropriate

No nudity or sexual content in photos or messages, and no unsolicited intimate images. Never share another person's private information or images.

No money, no selling

Never ask for money, gifts, investments or financial details, and never offer them. Do not promote a business, an event of your own, a social account or anything for sale.

Adults only

Every member must be 18 or older. Report anyone who appears to be under 18.

Meeting safely

Meet in public for the first time, arrange your own travel, and respect boundaries in person as you would in chat. Behaviour at events and on dates arranged through Myra is covered by these guidelines.

What we do about reports

Reports are reviewed by a person, with a target of 24 hours. When several members report the same profile, it is hidden automatically until we review it. We may warn, hide, suspend or permanently remove an account, and we cooperate with the police where the law requires.

If anything here is unclear, write to hello@myra.app and we will explain it in plain language.
