How it works
Thoughtful introductions, one day at a time
Myra is designed for people who would rather have a few good conversations than a hundred half-finished ones. Here is what happens from the moment you sign up.
1. Create your profile
Sign in with your phone number and a one-time code. Tell us your name, who you would like to meet, what you are looking for, the languages you speak and the area you live in. Add at least three photos; each one is checked before anyone sees it. Then answer three short prompts in your own words. These answers are what make introductions and openers personal.
2. Pass a selfie check
Take a short live selfie. It confirms you are a real person and the person in your photos. Until the check passes your profile stays private. The selfie is used only for verification and is deleted once a decision is made.
3. Get five to seven introductions a day
Every morning we prepare a small set of introductions. Before anyone is suggested, they must pass hard rules: you both fall within each other's age range, you both want to meet each other's gender, your intent is the same, you live within both of your distance limits, and neither of you has blocked or reported the other. Among people who pass, we look at shared languages, interests, what you wrote in your prompts, recent activity and how often people reply.
4. Read the reasons
Each introduction shows two or three reasons, such as a shared language or a similar answer to a prompt. Reasons are there so you can decide quickly and start a conversation with something real.
5. Interested, Pass or Not now
Choose Interested if you would like to talk, Pass if not, or Not now if you are unsure. Not now brings the introduction back once, a few days later. Nobody is told that you passed.
6. Match and talk
When you are both interested, you match. Chat opens with suggested openers drawn from both profiles. Women can choose to be the one who sends the first message. If a conversation is not going anywhere, either of you can end it with a respectful one-tap close, and a match with seven days of silence expires on its own.
Hard rules we never bend
- Mutual age range
- Mutual gender preference
- Same intent
- Within both distance limits
- Never someone you blocked or reported
- Never someone you have already been introduced to
