HSR Layout is a planned residential neighbourhood in south-east Bengaluru, organised into sectors with wide roads, parks and a large lake on its edge. It has grown quickly with the technology corridors on Sarjapur Road and the Outer Ring Road, and many young professionals choose to live here for its relative calm compared to Koramangala next door. Getting around
HSR is served by buses and auto stands on 27th Main, and by the Yellow Line Metro on its western edge. Cab apps work well; traffic toward the Outer Ring Road is heavy on weekday evenings.
Good to know
- The lake path is less busy after dark. Walk it in the early evening and leave before the lights go out.
- Some inner roads are quiet at night. Ask your ride to drop you at your building gate.
