The area around Sukhna Lake, in the north-east of Chandigarh, is the city’s favourite outdoor space. The lake sits at the foot of the Shivalik hills, with a long promenade, boating, a bird sanctuary nearby and some of the best sunset views in the Tricity. Next to it are the Rock Garden and the Capitol Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site designed by Le Corbusier.
