The Old Mahabalipuram Road, known simply as OMR or the IT Expressway, runs south from Madhya Kailash past Perungudi, Thoraipakkam and Sholinganallur. It is lined with technology campuses, apartment complexes and new shopping centres, and many of its residents moved to Chennai for work. On Myra, members along OMR often look for someone nearby, because crossing the city after a long day is tiring. Introductions here typically include people from Perungudi, Karapakkam, Thoraipakkam, Sholinganallur and Navalur, and from Velachery and the East Coast Road if your distance limit allows. OMR has no Metro line in service yet, though one is under construction. Most people use cab apps, office shuttles and buses; the Velachery MRTS station is the closest railway link.

- Stretches of the road between campuses are poorly lit. Never walk them at night; book a ride from the venue.
- Traffic jams at Perungudi and Sholinganallur are common at office closing time. Plan to meet after the rush.
